Alysia Parker attended James Madison University for her undergraduate coursework, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Science in 2013. She went on to earn herDoctor of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in 2016. For the first 5 years she practiced, she focused on rehabilitating individuals with gait and balance disorders including vertigo, post-concussion syndrome, amputations, and various neurological disorders. However, she also discovered a joy for working with athletes of all ages and getting them back to the sport they love. She particularly enjoys working with post-operative patients and those with neck, shoulder, hip, and knee injuries. She is looking forward to further developing her orthopedic and manual therapy skills at Wardell Orthopaedics.
Alysia was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia in a large Navy family. She currently lives in Chesapeake, Virginia with her husband and children. In her free time, she enjoys powerlifting, running, cycling, and hiking.
